Would you “Like” to Win?

We are always delighted when our guests at the Elysium Hotel tell us how much they enjoy the “Elysium Experience” and this is why we first created our Elysium Facebook Group to share the experience with everyone.  Over time, many guests flocked to this group and shared their experiences and photographs with us and other guests.

At the beginning of 2011 we created a NEW Elysium Facebook Page, which enables us to provide a lot more benefits to our friends and guests.  And since January we have regularly been posting updates, including events, photographs and videos on this page.  The time has come now for us to close down the “Elysium Experience” group and focus on the new Elysium Facebook Page.

But we recognise and respect the time and effort that everyone has spent in sharing their experiences with us and we would like to reward you all with a little thank you from everyone at Elysium Hotel.  So  would you “like” to win…..

To win this fantastic prize, all you have to do is visit our new Facebook Page, look through all of our photos until you find the picture above, then everyone who “likes” the photo will be entered into a draw.  We will make the draw on the 1st April, good luck !

From the Catwalk to Mediterranean Beach

Our Aquum Spa has used the Babor Beauty Products for some time now and our guests regulalry comment on how fantastic it is and we wanted to share some of the secrets of its success.  So we asked Babor‘s international Make Up Director Peter Schmidinger a few questions about it.

1.    Why do you like working with Babor products so much?
For more than 20 years I have been working in the world of beauty and came up against products that are superficially styled for sake of show effects. But those products are extremely difficult to use. The BABOR FACE DESIGN COLLECTION is different. I wanted to develop a Make-up Line that all women can easily use. Together with the beauty professionals of Babor tried and tested the products again and again until we had found the perfect texture and colour; simply the perfect product to underline the natural beauty of every woman. In addition, the FACE DESIGN COLLECTION offers protection, nurturing, regeneration and colour all in one product. Especially for this line, BABOR has developed an “lifting“ complex. I have to admit, I learned a lot about skincare in the last months as I worked very closely with the research & development department of Babor. I never would have thought, that plants like sea fennel, which is contained in the “lifting” complex, has such a great effect.

2. What is the most common mistake women make when it comes to make-up?
Most women use too much. Too much make-up, to much mascara, too much lipstick. But getting the perfect look is easier than some women think. I can give a face a clearly harmonic look in three steps. Starting with the natural shape the face is given either more or less contours by accentuating different areas. This is easy if you follow three little steps – brightener, blush and eyebrows. These steps had always been in our mind while we developed the products. For example: the eyebrows are often forgotten in a Make-up, but they are the frame of every face.

3. What is your favourite tool to apply make-up?
My finger – because I can feel the make-up melt into the skin and I can make sure that you dont’t see where the make-up starts or ends.

4. What is the most important make-up advice you can give to women?
You are beautiful! Make-up can underline your natural beauty and if you know how to apply it you don’t need much.I believe in the successful mixture of perfect make-up and naturalness.

5. As a make-up artist, what is your greatest strength?
I think it is my passion for people – especially for women. I love working with people and I love seeing them becoming a true beauty when I work with them. During my career I have developed an eye for people.

We’re grateful to Peter for taking the time to answer our questions and he has also kindly shared his top tips, which can be downloaded here.
